An Introduction to my Study Abroad Program In Germany

In Germany, I carry many introductions. What I mean by this is whenever I introduce myself to people, I noticed it takes me relatively longer to explain who I am, where I am from, and why I am here. I say: "Well, I am from Morocco, but I go to school in the US and I came to Germany on an exchange program." I guess when I write it out it doesn't seem too long, but I guess from my perspective it seems like a load because of how "different" I feel from everyone else. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. I've been a "foreign" for almost three years now in the US but it helped that I spoke the language fluently. Here, in Tübingen, it's different. In the US, I didn't feel like an outsider as much. I blended in most days. Here, I stand out unequivocally. I know little to no German and that makes me different and quite bizarre in a way.
